Coming To America: Ellis Island and Its Immigrants

During the late 1800's and early 1900's, thousands of people (many our ancestors) from countless countries around the world made the harrowing maritime journey to America and filtered through Ellis Island in hopes of finding a better life for themselves and their families: a life free of religious and ethnic persecution where they could earn a living, feed their families and have the opportunity to live the American dream. Many of us are the descendents of these immigrants and we can thank them for where we are today.
